By popular demand we have added a new search feature to the Advanced search functionality. Since Wednesday, it is possible to limit your search to images or videos only.

| New videos added |

| Recently 232 new videos, with metadata, have been added to the database.Currently the database holds 1280 videos of 43 different subjects.Shortly we will start with the addition of profile view videos. |

A new version of the MMI Face Database has been released. Many improvements have been made, a short overview of the most important improvements:
- The database now support facial feature points
- The object detail page has been extended, all information about datasamples in one overview
- Easier addition of new objects, you can expect many new videos shortly
- New layout search results page: the search results page has been redesigned. The previews has been removed from this page (but are still only a click away) and because of this the page loads much faster.
- Bigger previews to give you a better idea of the data
- The entire object model behind the webinterface has been redesigned, allowing us to make more improvements faster.
- Many design improvements
The new www.mmifacedb.com is optimised for use with Firefox (www.getfirefox.com) but also works with other browsers. |

| A flash demo, showing you how you can use the MMI Face DB, has been added. This demo was created by Ludo Maat and can be found under information. |

| 230 images have been added to the database. Of all subjects in the images some video's were already present. |
| Database available on domain |

| Added news support |

| As should be clear from the fact that it is possible to read this message. The database now has support for news messages. |
| Conversion to PostgreSQL |

| The database has been converted from MySQL to PostgreSQL. The reason for the conversion is that PostgreSQL has better foreign key support and that PostgreSQL supports the INTERSECT and EXCEPT keywords in SQL, this is used in the searchengine. |
