How do I get access to the database?

Go to the link 'request access', on the top left of the homepage. Download the EULA, sign it, and send a pdf version of the signed EULA to eula@mmifacedb.com. As soon as your EULA is received your account will be activated.

Can I download all data containing basic emotions in one go?

This is possible using the boolean search, just enter emotion > 0 & emotion < 10. This will return all the sessions with emotions 1-9 (i.e. everything that's not unknown or unexpressive)

How do I know which users have granted permission to use their imagery in publications?

This information is listed under the Subject headings in the results (see the variable public. consent). To search only for videos that can be used for publications, set the value of Public. consent to True in the Subject search options (or add "& publicationconsent" to your boolean query)
